Welcome to American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin

Welcome to American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Welcome to American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin

Welcome to the website of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI). The mission of our organization is to serve as a forum to facilitate and enable Indian American physicians to excel in patient care, teaching and research, and to pursue their aspirations in professional and community affairs. The organization's meteoric rise from a basement chat twenty years ago to become one of today's premier ethnic medical associations is
a tribute to our past leaders, a network of hardworking committees, and a constituency of 46,000 physicians and almost 15,000 medical students and residents.

Headquartered in Chicago, AAPI serves as an umbrella organization
for more than 130 member associations nationwide. We also have an office in Washington, DC where AAPI continues to be recognized as a strong voice in the healthcare legislation and policy arena.

Our membership has had a long-standing record with philanthropic activities and we firmly believe in giving back to the community through the AAPI Charitable Foundation. This commitment extends back to India, as well as to a variety of local projects led by member associations here in the United States.

Information regarding AAPI's many activities and programs is included throughout the website. We hope you will find what you're looking for and return often for updates. And, if you're not already a member, please take a look at the various membership categories and the member benefits. We're
confident that you'll discover the value of joining today.

So that the AAPI website can become an even more valuable resource for you, we always encourage your comments, suggestions and questions. Thank you!
